Life path numbers
A life path number is arithmetic on a birth date: reduce the month, the day and the year to single digits, add them, and reduce again. Numerology treats the result as the most significant number a birth date carries; what it is said to mean belongs to that tradition, and is reported here as such, never as a fact about anyone.

The nine base numbers
How common each number is
Counted over every date from 1920 to 2026, 39,082 in all, by the method above. The numbers are not equally common: 2 and 4 are the rarest of the nine, because many of the sums that would reduce to them reach 11 or 22 first, and those are kept whole.
The master numbers
11, 22, 33 are left unreduced rather than added down to a single digit, because numerological tradition treats them as carrying extra significance.
